My 7 Favorite Beauty Products of the Summer

Skincare can be so overwhelming these days. There’s 5 million products out there, a bunch of words that sound like greek and the choice to budget or offer your first born as a sacrifice for some serum that promises to make you as soft as a baby’s ass. Where do you start?

My philosophy these days is to spend a little more on quality, because I almost always regret not doing so. I’m getting older, and spending that extra cash on something that will last longer or work properly is worth it to me.

Skincare has been at the forefront of my self care routine because it makes me feel so good to take care of my body and it’s only a couple of minutes each night. Plus, I love waking up in the morning at feeling as soft as Ryder’s bottom.

Enter these babies and I’ve hit the jackpot on what works great on my skin.

  1. First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser

I love this face cleanser, it delivers on its promise. It clears my breakouts, and is gentle on my skin but tough enough to do the job. Love it wholeheartedly, and for how little you need to wash your face makes it a great price point.

+ fragrance-free, gentle cleanser that effectively removes makeup, dirt, and grime, leaving skin soft and supple.

+ it’s a non-stripping, pH-balanced formula helps maintain skin’s natural acidity and reduce flare-ups. The sumptuous, creamy texture never leaves skin tight or dry. Infused with a powerful antioxidant blend, it helps safeguard skin against environmental aggressors while also calming irritated skin.

+ skincare concerns are dryness, pores, and redness

+vegan and cruelty free

2. Mario Badescu Facial Spray

Love this spray for its dynamic nature. It will refresh dehydrated skin and also works great in conjunction with makeup. I spritz some on my eyebrow spoolie before I use my soap brows and use it on my cream contour palette to get an extended locked in look and it just blends nicer.

+ Rose Extract: Moisturizes and rejuvenates. Gardenia extract: Boasts antioxidant properties. Thyme Extract: Clarifies skin.

+Vegan and cruelty free

These 3 products are the dream team. I love the way they make my skin feel. I got this kit and it’s a perfect jump off point to test out the products and see how they work on your skin. It’s $36, for a $72 value. Worth it. Here’s a breakdown of what each product does.

3. SUNDAY RILEY Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment

+ It’s an all-in-one AHA treatment, powered by lactic acid, that clarifies, smooths, and retexturizes the appearance of skin.

+ What’s inside:

– Purified Lactic Acid: Hydrates and exfoliates the surface layers of the skin, revealing a more clarified, fresher, smoother, younger-looking complexion.
– Licorice and Lemongrass: Brighten the appearance of dark spots and discolorations.
– Prickly Pear Extract: Soothes the appearance of surface redness, while supporting a calmer, more even-toned complexion.

+ It’s clinically tested and proven to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes, I absolutely vouch for that!

4. C.E.O 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum

+ A serum targeted to fight the look of dullness and discoloration, while visibly diminishing the signs of aging.

+ Skincare Concerns: Dark Spots, Dullness, and Loss of Firmness/Elasticity

+ This serum uses a highly stable and ultra-powerful form of vitamin C called THD ascorbate, which rapidly absorbs into the skin to address visible signs of aging. Skin appears firmer, more radiant, and even in tone, while fine lines and wrinkles look less noticeable with continual use.

5. SUNDAY RILEY Luna Retinol Sleeping Night Oil

I LOVE this retinol oil. I can feel the magic working right as I rub it in. The blue tansy and German chamomile really set this retinol on a pedestal because it’s calming and non irritating.

+ It’s retinol oil that boosts the look and feel of skin plumpness, while improving the appearance of wrinkles, redness, and pores for visibly younger-looking skin.

+ Skincare Concerns: Fine Lines and Wrinkles, Dark Spots, and Redness

+ Trans-Retinol ester reduces the appearance of pores and wrinkles, while visibly improving the signs of premature aging: fine lines, uneven texture, age spots, dryness, and dullness. It’s balanced with blue tansy and German chamomile, which helps to soothe the appearance of with surface redness for a calm, even-toned complexion—without the irritation of traditional retinol.

6. Pink Sugar Perfume

I wore this perfume in middle school, yup, you read that right. I love this smell, it’s sweet but musky, and leaves you smelling yummy AF.

+ Notes:
Bergamot, Sicilian Orange, Raspberry, Fig Leaves, Lily of the Valley, Licorice, Strawberry, Red Fruit, Cotton Candy, Vanilla, Caramel, Musk, Wood, Powder.
+ Style:
Playful. Mischievous. Romantic.

7. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

This lip mask will leave your lips feeling like pillows. It makes them so buttery soft and hydrated, it’s my favorite thing to put on just before I go to sleep. I’ve had this bottle since April, I think? And it has the smallest dent. A little goes a long way, and can double as a lip gloss during the day. I’ve always struggled with dry lips, so this has really been a game changer for me. Dry lips no longer, amen to that.

+ LANEIGE does not test ingredients or products on animals.

+Enriched with vitamin C and antioxidants

+ Its exclusive Moisture Wrap™ technology boasts hyaluronic acid and minerals to form a protective film over the lips to lock in moisture and active ingredients.

What have been your summer favorites? I’d love to hear in the comments!

Love you.

xx, Tori
